Our Partners

The mission of Concerts in Motion is to provide the service of live concerts, at no charge, to homebound, hospitalized, or otherwise isolated individuals throughout New York City. Quality of music performance is a high priority: Our professional musicians are top-level performers who play on Broadway or in the orchestras of Lincoln Center or have freelance careers that take them to venues around the world. Likewise, CiM's youth performers are musically talented, and CiM fosters relationships with private music teachers and with teachers at public, private, parochial, and charter schools to ensure that the youth involved in our programs are performance-ready. CMA’s Young Artist Kollective (YAK), is a free program that provides emerging young artists in 6th-9th grade with exclusive studio space and materials, artistic and technical guidance, opportunities to meet with guest artists, monthly art parties, and a chance to learn about professional opportunities across the art world. In YAK, members get to pick a collaborative group topic, choosing from a list of available art mediums including screen printing, animation, fashion design, sound recording, and more. For those with their own project in mind, our teaching artists are here to provide professional materials, equipment, and mentorship. Art Slams take place the third Friday of every month and are parties for young artists with food, music and art-making. For more information visit cmany.org/yak.
